New ZIP (zone improvement plan) codes have been assigned to 10 EMBO (enlisted men's barrio) barangays, now under the jurisdiction of Taguig City, as per the Philippine Postal Corporation (PhilPost).

PhilPost explained the changes were implemented following the final decision of the Supreme Court to place the Fort Bonifacio Military Reservation and the 10 EMBO barangays, previously under Makati City, under the jurisdiction of Taguig City.

The changes in ZIP codes for the said barangays are as follows:
Cembo - 1640
Comembo - 1641
Pembo - 1642
East Rembo - 1643
West Rembo - 1644
South Cembo - 1645
Pitogo - 1646
Post Proper Northside - 1647
Post Proper Southside - 1648
Rizal - 1649

The local government of Taguig City has advised residents and businesses in the EMBO barangays to update their ZIP codes to prevent any potential loss of mail or packages.
