The Nigerians were arrested by the BI Intelligence unit and local police in an area in Las Piñas City recently.

The initial targets of the operation were only two Nigerians involved in various methods of deceiving people. "Our intelligence division has been closely monitoring these individuals. They were reportedly involved in love scams, online scamming, and credit card fraud," said Intelligence Division Chief Fortunato Manahan, Jr.

The initial targets of the operation were Godswill Nnamdi Chukwu, 32 years old, and Justin Chimezie Obi, 30 years old. However, during the arrest, 12 other Nigerians illegally staying in the country were discovered.

All 14 Nigerians were overstaying aliens, thus they were arrested by Immigration officers and brought to its facility in Camp Bagong Diwa.

"These arrests underscore our commitment to safeguarding our nation's security and maintaining the integrity of our immigration laws. We will continue to work tirelessly to bring violators to justice," said Immigration Commissioner Tansingco.

These Nigerian nationals will be deported out of the country and will no longer be allowed to return to the Philippines.
