A 15-year-old girl and a 27-year-old man were apprehended by officers from the Southern Police District and the Taguig City Police for carrying an estimated amount of over four million pesos worth of suspected methamphetamine, commonly known as 'shabu', in a mall parking lot in Taguig city recently.

In the early hours of November 5, 2024, the two, known by the aliases Alvin and Miracle, were caught in a buy-bust operation.

The suspects were found carrying 600 grams of suspected shabu with a value of PHP 4.08 million.

Authorities also seized from the duo a 9mm caliber handgun with a magazine and bullets, a mobile phone, and the buy-bust money.

The two individuals now face charges for violation of Section 5 and Section 11 under Article II of Republic Act (RA) 9165 and RA 10591 (illegal possession of firearms).
