Undercover operatives from the Taguig Police Drug Enforcement Unit pretended to purchase drugs, catching the teenager in the act of selling the illegal substance. In addition to the drugs, the officers retrieved P500 used as buy-bust money from the young male.
This incident marks the third arrest of teenagers in Taguig City recently involved in the sale of prohibited drugs. The previous two arrests included a 16-year-old male found with shabu and marijuana and a 15-year-old female also found possessing shabu.
The young law offenders have been brought to Bahay Pag-asa in Taguig, a temporary home for juvenile delinquents.
"This operation serves as a stern reminder that no one, regardless of age, is exempt from the law. We will continue to pursue drug traffickers and those who endanger the youth by involving them in illegal activities," said Brigadier General Bernard Yang, director of the Southern Police District.
