Approximately 191 Filipinos have sought assistance from the Philippine Consulate in Los Angeles, USA, following their displacement due to the wildfires in Southern California.

According to Consul General Adelio Angelito Cruz, these Filipinos are currently in evacuation centers after being forced to flee from their homes affected by the wildfire.
Among the support extended by the Philippine government includes a $200 aid and assistance to connect them with their families in the Philippines.
Moreover, Cruz assures that the said Filipinos will be helped to restore their normal lives after the catastrophic fire in the Greater Los Angeles area.
Parts of the western and eastern regions of Los Angeles have been affected by the fire, with the largest fires in Palisades, where only 14% is under control, and Eaton, where just 30% of the fire is controlled.
The blaze has claimed 24 lives so far and has destroyed over 12,000 buildings and homes.
