According to the city government of Taguig, now that the jurisdiction of the 10 EMBO (enlisted men's barrios) barangays is under the city, they can also make their payments at the Convention Center of the new Taguig City Hall, or at the SM Aura Satellite Office on the ninth floor of the SM Aura Tower, McKinley Parkway, Bonifacio Global City, Barangay Fort Bonifacio, Taguig City every Monday to Friday, from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm except on official holidays.
The property tax charged to landowners from EMBO barangays is also lower compared to when they were under the jurisdiction of Makati City.
The rate charged by Taguig per property value is only 2% for residential properties, compared to Makati's 2.5%.
For commercial and industrial properties, Taguig only charges a 2.5% real property tax compared to Makati's 3%.
Special lanes have also been allocated for residents of EMBO who need assistance with their payments, especially as this is their first time paying taxes in Taguig.
They can also contact the City Assessor's Office on mobile number 0919-061-1003 or submit their inquiries to the Taguig City Assessor EMBO Concern Facebook Page.
They simply need to bring the latest receipt for the property tax payment and a copy of the latest tax declaration. A copy of your tax declaration can also be obtained from the City Assessor's window.
Payments can be made in cash, via credit or debit card, through Gcash or Pay Maya. Manager's or Cashier's checks can also be accepted with the payee name as City Treasurer of Taguig.
