One hundred grams of methamphetamine, commonly known as shabu, were confiscated from a delivery rider during a buy-bust operation in Barangay New Lower Bicutan, Taguig City on the early morning of July 10, 2024.

The 22-year-old suspect, known only as "Jr," had long been under the surveillance of authorities and was apprehended at 4:40 a.m. on Santos St. in Barangay New Lower Bicutan.

The personnel from the Taguig City Police Station Drug Enforcement Unit seized 10 small and 1 medium-sized sealed plastic packets containing the suspected methamphetamine, valued at ₱680,000.00.

They also recovered a genuine ₱1,000 bill found atop ₱5,000.00 worth of boodle money used in the buy-bust.

"Jr" now faces charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, otherwise known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
