The man, identified only as Ryan, was apprehended after attempting to escape around 5:40 pm yesterday.
It was learned that a barangay official called the police after hearing a gunshot in their area within Barangay New Lower Bicutan.
Police caught up with the suspect as he tried to flee.
Confiscated from him was a firearm without a serial number and four unused .45 caliber bullets, in addition to one that had been discharged.
Alias Ryan is set to face charges for violating the election gun ban implemented under the Omnibus Election Code (RA 7166).
In addition, Ryan will also face charges for violating the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act (RA 10591) and causing alarm and scandal.
