A 25-year-old man was apprehended with 200 grams of shabu, estimated to be worth P1.36 million, in Taguig City last Friday, October 13. Arnold Jose Banta of Barangay Pinagsama was arrested by operatives from the Drug Enforcement Group of the Taguig City Police at around 5:00 p.m. in the said area, following a transaction with an undercover cop posing as a drug buyer.

Meanwhile, the Taguig City and Makati City Police are currently seeking a man named Patrick Omaña, also known as Philip, who escaped during their operation at 81-D 1st Avenue, East Rembo, Taguig City last October 16 at around 9:30 p.m.

In the conducted buy-bust operation, Omaña's associates, Sandra De Vera, also known as Dada, and Lloyd Kirk Dela Fuente, also known as Basher, were arrested. Authorities confiscated from them 153 grams of suspected shabu with a standard drug price of P1, 040, 000.

They also seized 4 grams of dried marijuana leaves worth P480.

The suspects were charged with violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2022.
