A man, long under the scrutiny of authorities, was arrested in Barangay Rizal, Taguig City after being caught in the act of selling methamphetamine hydrochloride and marijuana on July 3, 2024.

The man, known as Alvin, aged 32, was marked out as a "high value individual," and was apprehended during a buy-bust operation at an alleyway on Mocking Bird Street, Barangay Rizal, Taguig City at around 7:15 p.m last Wednesday.

Officials of the Taguig City Police Station Drug Enforcement Unit recovered around 50 grams of methamphetamine hydrochloride, also known as shabu, estimated to be worth ₱340,000, 360 grams of marijuana estimated to be worth about ₱43,300, a genuine ₱1,000 bill, and ₱7,000 in boodle money.

Alvin, alias, is now facing charges for violation of Section 5 and 11, Article II of Republic Act 9165 and is currently detained at the Taguig City Police Station Custodial Facility.
