Four thousand Marines, uniformed personnel, running enthusiasts, and others participated in the fun run led by the Philippine Marines Corps at Fort Bonifacio, Taguig City yesterday, October 13, 2024.

The "Sovereignty Run 2024" aimed to support the families of the fallen Marines personnel, as well as those on the frontline defending the West Philippines Sea (WPS).

The fun run is also part of the upcoming 74th anniversary celebration of the PMC on November 7, 2024.

The race kicked off at midnight, with runners tackling distances ranging from 5 kilometers to 50 kilometers.

Finishers received medals, t-shirts, singlets, and loot bags. This marked the seventh occasion of the fun run, paying tribute to the heroism and sacrifice of the Philippine Marines members, and affirming their defense of the Philippines' sovereignty and unity amidst challenges in the West Philippine Sea.
