Seventy-nine young Filipino athletes are set to be honored at the Nickel Asia Corporation Siklab Youth Sports Awards 2024 taking place tonight, December 5, 2024, at the Market! Market! Activity Center in Ayala Malls Bonifacio Global City, Taguig City.

Among those to be honored is Karl Eldrew Yulo, the brother of double Olympic gold medalist Carlos Yulo, who himself is a gold medalist from the recent Asian junior gymnastics competition. Also to be recognized are world youth ju-jitsu champion Isabella Butler, Asian age-group swimming gold medalist Jamesray Mishael Ajido, and table tennis youth champion Kheith Rhynne Cruz.
The Young Heroes Awards will also honor Tachiana Mangin, world junior champion in taekwondo, weightlifters Angeline Colonia and Lovely Inan, Rianne Mikhaela Malixi, the 2024 US Junior Girls champion in golf, and wushu champion Alexander Gabriel Delos Reyes.
There will also be four special awards handed out, including the Sports Idol Award for Nesthy Petecio, a bronze medalist in boxing at the Paris Olympics. The Godfather of the Year Award will be given to long-time sports manager Agapito "Terry" Capistrano. A Lifetime Achievement Award will go to Senator Bong Go, while the Trailblazer Award will be given to Quezon City Congressman Arjo Atayde for their support of youth sports.
