"Last October 23, around 3 PM during our gig at Shangri-La, The Fort in BGC, THOUSANDS worth of gadgets and cash (including iPads, laptops, and phones) were stolen from the "secured" holding area. We tracked the stolen items and found them in Pampanga. While we trusted the venue, this unfortunate incident reminds us to stay cautious," Kammerchor Manila posted on their Facebook Page.
The group also mentioned that they were away for only 10 to 15 minutes for their opening number. When they returned to the holding area in the Capiz Room, the 12 members' belongings were gone.
Management at Shangri-La The Fort responded, stating they were aware of the theft and were coordinating with the police. They reassured that their security within the hotel and its premises was stringent.
Kammerchor Manila advised their fellow performers to be careful during performances.
"As it's gig season, please ensure you secure your belongings before every performance, no matter the location. Let's all remain vigilant and look out for one another. Stay safe," Kammerchor Manila posted on their Facebook Page.
On October 18, 2024, Kammerchor Manila also performed at the lighting of the grand Christmas Tree at SM Aura in BGC, Taguig City.
