The suspect, along with the individual who drove the motorcycle used in their subsequent escape, was tracked down by the Taguig City Police at their hiding spot in Barangay Western Bicutan, where both were killed in a confrontation.

Based on CCTV footage from Barangay San Miguel captured on Tuesday, the victim, identified as Bayani Quizon, was seen walking along the side of the road when the suspect suddenly emerged from his hideout and shot him.

The CCTV also showed that the suspect continued shooting at the male victim even after he had fallen. The victim was shot four times. After the shooting, the suspect hopped onto a motorcycle driven by his accomplice.

The suspects were located with the help of the CCTV recording and eyewitness accounts of the event. When police moved to arrest them, the pair resisted, resulting in their deaths.

The Taguig City Police recovered a .38 caliber and a .45 caliber firearm from the scene in Barangay Western Bicutan. Authorities are currently investigating whether these were the weapons used to kill the ambulance driver.

Taguig City Police Acting Chief Colonel Christopher Olazo stated that Quizon's death was drug-related. Their investigation revealed that Quizon owed a debt related to illegal drugs and had allegedly been pursued for payment for a year. Quizon's life had also been threatened previously.

The mastermind behind the crime has been identified by the police.
