Two foreign fugitives were arrested by the Bureau of Immigration (BI) personnel and are now detained in the BI Detention Facility at Camp Bagong Diwa, Bicutan, Taguig City.

On July 3, 2024, Deng Hongfu, a 32-year-old who was reportedly wanted in China due to his business of illegally selling shares of stocks, was arrested on C. Santos Street, Brgy. Tambo, Parañaque City.

An arrest warrant had been issued against Deng by the public security bureau in Chibi City, China, where he had been charged since 2018.

Deng was also wanted by the BI as an undocumented foreigner after his passport had been cancelled by the Chinese government.

It was discovered that Deng arrived in the Philippines on March 8, 2019, and has not left the country since then.

Another foreigner, a 50-year-old American, was also arrested at his residence in Angela Village, Brgy. Talon Kuatro, Las Piñas City on the same day, July 3.

Mark Andrew Baldwin had an arrest warrant from the superior court in Cherokee County, Georgia for illegal possession of firearms and for not serving his prison sentence. The State Department had also cancelled Baldwin's passport.
