Three foreigners have been added to the ranks of those now incarcerated at the Bureau of Immigration (BI) detention center at Camp Bagong Diwa, Bicutan, Taguig City.

An American and two Koreans are the latest to be arrested by the BI fugitive search unit (FSU) in separate locations in the country.

American national Paul Raymond Ross, 66 years old, was arrested on December 2, 2024, in Kabankalan City, Negros Oriental. Ross, who is wanted in Pennsylvania, USA for extortion and harassment, had already been sentenced in the United States to 27 months in prison and three years of supervised release but had left his country for the Philippines.

On December 3, 2024, two Koreans who overstayed their visas were arrested in Lapu-Lapu City, Cebu. Identified as Jung Yunjae, 26 years old, and Jeon Hyeonuk, 41 years old, they are wanted in their home country on charges of kidnapping.

Both have an outstanding warrant of arrest from the Ulsan District Court in Korea where they are charged with luring their victim to work in Cambodia as a model for obscene advertisements.
