Signal number 5 has been raised over the Babuyan Islands as Super Typhoon Egay (international name: Doksuri) is poised to make landfall.

According to the latest weather report at 8:00 PM (July 25, 2023), Super Typhoon Egay maintained its strength of 185 km per hour near the center and gusts of up to 230 km per hour, posing a threat to Northern Luzon.

The Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) has reported that the eye of Super Typhoon Egay is 135 km east-northeast of Aparri, Cagayan.

The typhoon is moving slowly at 15 km per hour.

The powerful winds brought by the storm cover a radius of 680 km from the center, with rains further intensified by the southwest monsoon.

Signal number 4 is still raised over the northern part of Cagayan (Santa Ana, Gonzaga, Claveria, Sanchez-Mira, Pamplona, Abulug, Ballesteros, Aparri, Buguey, Santa Teresita, Camalaniugan, and Santa Praxedes).

Signal number 3 has been hoisted over the northeastern part of Isabela (Divilacan, Maconacon, Palanan, Santa Maria, San Pablo, Santo Tomas, Cabagan, Tumauini), other parts of Cagayan, Apayao, Ilocos Norte, the northern part of Kalinga (Rizal, Pinukpuk, Balbalan), Batanes, and the northern part of Abra (Tineg, Lagayan, Lacub, and Danglas).

Signal number 2 remains over the rest of Isabela, north and central Aurora (Dilasag, Casiguran, Dinalungan, Dipaculao), Quirino, remaining parts of Kalinga, northeastern part of Nueva Vizcaya (Kasibu, Quezon, Diadi, Bagabag, Ambaguio, Villaverde, Solano, and Bayombong), Ilocos Sur, remaining parts of Abra, Mountain Province, Ifugao, northern part of Benguet (Bakun, Mankayan, Buguias, Kabayan, Kibungan, Atok) northern part of La Union (Bangar, Sudipen, Luna, Balaoan, and Santol)

Signal number 1 was raised in Metro Manila, north and central part of Quezon Province (Pitogo, Calauag, Infanta, Lopez, Guinayangan, Unisan, Plaridel, Quezon, Alabat, Padre Burgos, Mauban, General Nakar, Perez, Agdangan, Gumaca, Atimonan, Real, Tagkawayan, Lucena City, Pagbilao, Lucban, Sampaloc, City of Tayabas, Dolores, Sariaya, Candelaria, Tiaong, and San Antonio) along with the Polillo Islands, and remaining parts of Aurora, Nueva Vizcaya, Benguet, and La Union.

Signal number 1 was also raised in Nueva Ecija, Pangasinan, Tarlac, Zambales, Bulacan, Pampanga, Bataan, Cavite, Rizal, Laguna, Camarines Norte, the northern part of Camarines Sur (Siruma, Tinambac, Goa, Lagonoy, Caramoan, Cabusao, Sipocot, Garchitorena, Ragay, Del Gallego, Calabanga, Presentacion, Lupi), northern part of Catanduanes (Pandan, Bagamanoc, Panganiban, Viga, Caramoran) and the northern part of Batangas (Talisay, City of Tanauan, Santo Tomas, Balete, Malvar, and Lipa City).

PAGASA warns of heavy rainfall, particularly in mountainous areas. Landslides and flooding are expected, so those living near mountain slopes and low-lying areas are advised to evacuate.

Heavy rain and strong winds are also expected in areas of the Visayas, Zamboanga Peninsula, Basilan, Sulu, Tawi-Tawi, and the northern part of Northern Mindanao and Caraga due to the combined strength of Super Typhoon Egay and the southwest monsoon.
