The "Indakan sa Daan" was successfully conducted last July 27, 2024, coinciding with the celebration of the Taguig River Festival and the Feast of Santa Ana, which was held at Taguig City Hall grounds.

Barangay Central Signal bagged the grand prize in the folk dance competition for their rendition of the Kalinga Pattong, or Bontoc War Dance.

The first runner-up was Barangay Pitogo, with Barangay Bagumbayan taking the position of second runner-up. Barangay Bagumbayan also clinched the Best in Costume award.

A total of 33 barangays showcased their skills in Filipino dances across four categories: Barrio, Cordillera, Mindanao, and those with Spanish influences.

Taguig Mayor Lani Cayetano stressed the importance of these performances as tributes to Filipino culture and heritage.

Cayetano also mentioned that Taguig, as a city with a provincial charm, is open to various cultures.

"People from Mindanao, Visayas, and the North have found their home here in Taguig," Cayetano said.

Recognition was also given to the trainers and choreographers of the winning participants during the competition.

Among the judges were Ivannovich Dmitriv Agote from the Department of Tourism - National Capital Region, Randy Carlos Guevara of Sindaw Philippines Performing Arts Guild, Marciano Viri from the Committee on Dance of the National Commission for Culture and the Arts, Rene Lapenas from the Artistic Committee of the Metropolitan Theater, and former Bayanihan Philippine Dance Company member Maria Angeli Toral Menorca.
