Barangay Tanyag has been officially declared free of illegal drugs.

With the inclusion of Barangay Tanyag, the total number of drug-cleared barangays in Taguig now stands at 20.

Barangay Tanyag was formally declared a Drug-Cleared Barangay by the Regional Oversight Committee on Barangay Drug Clearing (ROCBDC) of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Regional Office in Quezon City on November 19, 2024.

This declaration means that Barangay Tanyag has met all requirements, such as eliminating all individuals involved in drugs - users and pushers - as well as destroying all drug dens in the area.

The deliberations were attended by representatives from the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA), Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG), Department of Health (DOH), and Taguig Anti-Drug Abuse Office (TADAO).
