According to the BGC management, Park was promptly assisted by a BGC security officer who also encouraged him to report the incident to the Taguig-BGC Police substation. However, Park declined to do so.

The theft of Park's wallet took place on July 4, 2024, around 6:32 p.m.

"BGC remains vigilant in observing measures and actively cooperating with the local authorities to ensure that safety remains an utmost priority within its spaces," stated the BGC management.

It can be recalled that Park posted the incident on his Instagram and Facebook, reporting that six women had harassed him while walking in BGC, and that he had not noticed them stealing his wallet.

He managed to chase the women, who had scattered in different directions, and caught up with two of them to ask for his wallet back. After a heated exchange, one of the women returned the Korean's wallet, but some cash was missing.

In Park's post, he stated that "it happened in front of One Bonifacio, I was walking on the street and 6 people were around me for quite a long time. They stole my wallet but I was lucky that I could noticed (sic) fast and track them immediately. Ran after them but they split to 3. I was only able to catch 2 of them and luckily, they had my wallet."

Park also mentioned that he asked for help from the nearby guards, but no one took action.

"While I was tracking (running after) them, I asked for help to the (sic) guards around but they didn't react and couldn't help me out. Anyway, I'm safe and I got my wallet back but still missing some cash."

Park's final message (verbatim) was "just wanted to warn you guys out there to avoid next victim that it won't happen again! Be safe everyone."
