The languages of Bicol, Hiligaynon, Kapampangan, Pangasinense, and Waray are included in the 110 languages added to Google Translate, allowing users to understand them in various other languages.

As a result, the total number of supported languages now stands at 133, aiding millions of individuals, including travelers, students, and those wishing to reconnect with their native tongues.
Google Translate is powered by the PaLM 2 large language model. PaLM 2 is Google's artificial intelligence (AI) model that excels at learning related languages.
It assists Google Translate in meeting the needs of communities, including those related to the languages of the Philippines from various regions and the world's primary languages.

Among the world's major languages added to Google Translate's list are Cantonese, Shahmukhi of Punjabi or the majority language in Pakistan, and Tok Pisin of Papua New Guinea.
It has also added native languages such as Afar and NKo, spoken in parts of Africa.
Revitalized languages like Manx, a Celtic language, are also on the list.
The expansion of languages available for translation on Google is part of its 1,000 Languages Initiative, aimed at supporting global languages. The fourth part of the newly added list comprises languages from Africa.
