A bus conductor was killed while 13 others were injured following a collision between a bus and a truck on C5 Road, Brgy. Western Bicutan, Taguig City, at 4:30 a.m. on June 29th.

The conductor, identified as Arnel Aquino, was thrown from the bus and landed on the back of the truck when the two vehicles collided at a U-turn slot near Heritage Park in Taguig.

It was found that the Isuzu truck, driven by 42-year-old Richard Ocampo, was making a turn at the U-turn slot when the oncoming bus, driven by 45-year-old Alfredo de Lara, arrived. The bus hit the rear of the truck, causing it to topple sideways. The bus conductor was ejected and caught on the back of the overturned truck.

In addition to the two drivers, bus passengers Maria Legaspi, Michael Dela Rosa, Mary Dela Rosa, Mark Anthony Aram, Ricson Quisado, Christian Escanta, Jade Darryl Brett Gooc, Mercelen Gayona, Victor Randy Inofre, Francis Dignom, and Marimar Mercado were also injured in the accident.

They were immediately attended to by the Taguig Doctor on Call team led by Dr. Jonathan Dimol and were taken to Taguig-Pateros District Hospital.

Meanwhile, Aquino's remains were taken to Our Lady of Loreto Funeral Homes.
