A portion of the Manila-Cavite Expressway (CAVITEX) continues to be toll-free until the Toll Regulatory Board (TRB) announces the reinstatement of toll fees.
The Philippine Reclamation Authority (PRA) confirmed that following the completion of the toll holiday on all CAVITEX routes across Parañaque, Las Piñas, Taguig, Bacoor, and Kawit, Cavite on July 31, 2024, a section of the expressway remains free of toll fees.

The toll-free area is the exit on Segment 2 of the C-5 Link and its corresponding entrance, benefiting thousands of motorists daily.
The PRA observed an increase in traffic on CAVITEX during the toll holiday, with daily vehicle count rising from 171,000 to 200,000.
"This uptick underscores the positive externalities associated with improved infrastructure, as the new segment is anticipated to enhance travel efficiency and reduce transaction costs and traveling time for commuters, thereby boosting overall economic productivity," according to a statement by the PRA.
President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. led the inauguration of several sections of CAVITEX on June 21, 2024.
He thanked the PRA for recommending a 30-day toll holiday on all parts of the expressway to aid motorists amidst increasing gas prices, and also providing them with the opportunity to experience comfortable travel on CAVITEX.
