Filomeno Bastasa, who is 100 years old, is a veteran of World War II. On Bastasa's next birthday, he could again receive P100,000, as a gift from Taguig for those who continue to thrive even past 100 years.
With the help of the Office of Seniors Affairs (OSCA) of Taguig, not only centenarians receive monetary gifts but also other senior citizens, who can obtain cash gifts ranging from P3,000 to P10,000.
There are also dialysis services, nursing services, and treatment for other illnesses that are completely free of charge. In addition to free nursing services in their homes, wheelchairs and hearing aids are also provided free of charge.
