According to Police Captain Peter de Asis, the murder of his 55-year-old father had been planned for some time.
The victim's dismembered body was discovered on December 4, 2024, by Baguio Police, hidden in two separate sacks buried on land owned by the suspected murderer, Lieutenant Colonel Roderick Pascua, in Barangay Pucsusan.
Young De Asis claimed his father was the victim of a false report related to Pascua's account, who alleged he had caught De Asis in the act with his wife, Police Executive Master Sergeant Rosemarie Pascua.
In a Facebook post dated December 6, 2024, Captain De Asis stated his father had been set up and had actually been abducted and tortured, leading to his death. He further added that the plan to kill his father had been in place since March 2024.
"To their cohorts, your days are numbered. Just like my personal perseverance to locate these two demonic individuals for only 48 hours. We will seek justice in the bounds of the law. I will use all my trainings and skills as a qualified special forces operator to hunt all of you. My whole family will not stop until you are all inside a prison cell," Captain De Asis declared in his social media post.
According to a report by the Taguig City Police, Lt. Col. Pascua confessed to shooting De Asis at his residence in Camp Bagong Diwa, Barangay Lower Bicutan, Taguig City on November 28, 2024, because he had allegedly caught the victim and his wife in an indecent act.
Meanwhile, CCTV footage obtained by the Taguig Police showed De Asis checking into the LJ Hotel at eight in the evening on November 28, 2024, and leaving thirty minutes later in a Grab taxi heading towards Camp Bagong Diwa.
The same CCTV footage also revealed De Asis heading toward the Married Non-officers' Quarters (MNOQ) within Camp Bagong Diwa, where the Pascua couple lived, accompanied by the suspect's wife.
