A Chinese man, previously arrested after being found in possession of firearms and suspected hacking devices, is now in the detention facility of the Bureau of Immigration (BI) in Taguig City after being apprehended once again.

The 32-year-old man, Liu Yuhang, was arrested by personnel from the BI intelligence division due to overstay in the country.

Liu was apprehended at the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) office in Camp Crame, Quezon City.

It was the CIDG that arrested Liu in Makati City last May due to high-caliber weapons and suspected hacking equipment.

Liu arrived in the Philippines in July 2018, and his visa was only updated in August 2022.

The deportation of Liu back to China is being arranged while he is detained at the Immigration Detention Facility in Bicutan, Taguig.
