Wang Yilin, 37, was arrested at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 3 on May 29 upon his arrival in the country via a Thai Airways Flight from Bangkok, Thailand.

Upon his arrival at the Immigration Officer, a positive hit was found on his name listed in the International Police, or Interpol's red notice list.
It was discovered that Wang had conspired with another suspect in 2019 to run a syndicate operating online gambling.
Among the games played on his online gambling site was Baccarat, a violation of China's anti-gambling law.
Wang and his associates reportedly earned up to 60 million yuan, or nearly US$8.3 million from the illegal online gambling site.
Wang was initially taken to the Immigration Detention Facility at Camp Bagong Diwa, Taguig City.
Two days later, he was deported to Guangzhou, China at the request of the Chinese government as he is a wanted fugitive in their country.
Five Chinese police escorts watched over Wang during his flight back to China.
A warrant of arrest was issued against Wang by the Bengbu municipal public security bureau in Anhui province, China on September 28, 2023.
