BI Commissioner Norman Tansingco is currently investigating this case while the Chinese national, Zhang Zimo, 23, is being prepared for deportation at the Immigration Detention Facility in Camp Bagong Diwa, Taguig City.

Zhang was intercepted at Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) on June 15 before she could board her flight to Guangzhou, China.

Upon inspection of Zhang's passport by an immigration officer, it was noticed that it lacked an arrival stamp. Furthermore, there were no arrival records for her in the Philippines.

"It is a blatant offense for any foreigner to enter the country without inspection and admission by immigration authorities or to gain entry into the Philippines by willful, false or misleading representation," according to Tansingco.
