The city government of Taguig has started distributing "Pamaskong Handog " or Christmas gifts to the residents of the EMBO (Enlisted Men's Barrios) barangays on December 13, 2023.

Taguig City Mayor Lani Cayetano led the distribution of Christmas gifts for Noche Buena to each home with senior citizens, persons with disabilities, and pregnant women in Barangay Rizal.

The distribution of claim stubs for the Christmas gifts has also begun for other residents in Barangay Rizal.

Further distributions of Christmas gift tickets will follow in the other EMBO barangays before Christmas.

Each Christmas gift contains 10 kilos of rice, 3 meat loaves, 2 large corned beef, 1 hotcake mix, one box of cheese, 1 milk, 1 fruit cocktail, 1 pack of biscuits, and 1 kilo of spaghetti pasta and sauce.

Efren Nero, a 71-year-old resident, expressed his gratitude, especially appreciating the convenience of the house-to-house delivery, which saved him and his wife from having to travel to collect their Noche Buena package.

"Thank you for delivering house-to-house to us, we no longer need to leave the house to receive such a gift," said Efren Nero, a 71-year-old resident of Barangay Rizal who personally received a Christmas gift from Cayetano.

Meanwhile, Rosalie Rabena, a person with disability, expressed her joy that her Christmas gift was carried into their house, eliminating the need for her to queue.

Every Taguigeño family will receive a Christmas gift package.
