The City Government of Taguig has designated specific locations within the city's barangays as official firecracker zones for New Year's celebrations.

In accordance with Ordinance No. 87, Series of 2018, the City Government of Taguig, with the assistance of the Philippine National Police, Bureau of Fire Protection, and barangay officials, has prohibited the sale, distribution, and ignition of any firecrackers, pyrotechnic devices, or similar items outside these designated firecracker zones.

A location in each barangay with an open space five meters from the nearest structure or building has been named a firecracker zone. Additionally, these zones will be equipped with firefighters, ambulances with emergency medical teams, standby fire extinguishers, and response teams from the barangay.

Here is the list of firecracker zones in Taguig City:

In District 1:
• Palingon - behind the Barangay Hall, Pk. 1 F. Dingguin Bayan Open Court and Pk. 2 Bantayan
• Bambang - Basketball Court on Kentucky St.
-Mahogany Place 2 Block 3 Lot 2 & 4 San Dimas Street
• Wawa - Barangay Road and Guerrero St.
• San Miguel - Victoria Compound Basketball Court on St. Michael and Open Basketball Court near Barangay Hall
• Lower Bicutan - Lakeshore Barge (only for organized events, individual firecracker usage prohibited)
• Bagumbayan - Open Area in front of CP Sta. Teresa Elementary School or Open Area behind Barangay Hall
• Hagonoy - Hagonoy Sports Complex Parking Area (Quadrangle)
• Napindan - Samama (End) Open Area at Purok 5 extension Tabing Ilog, and Purok 5 (in front of Jelly Port)
• Tuktukan - JP Rizal St.

• New Lower Bicutan
• Sta. Ana
• Ususan
• Ibayo-Tipas
• Calzada
• Comembo
• Pembo
• Rizal

Firecracker zones in District 2 are:
• South Daang Hari - Lakefront
• Central Bicutan - Osano Park
• Upper Bicutan - Osano Park
• Fort Bonifacio - 5th Avenue, Bonifacio Global City (only for organized events: NYE at the 5th, individual firecracker usage prohibited)
• Katuparan - Open space of Materials Recovery Facility (MRF), 7th Street
• Central Signal - Zone 8 cor. Ballecer St. in front of Em's Elementary School
- Zone 9 cor. Ballecer St. in front of Signal Village National High School

The following areas are designated as no firecracker zones:

• North Daang Hari
• North Signal
• Pinagsama
• South Signal
• Tanyag
• Western Bicutan
• Maharlika
• Cembo
• South Cembo
• East Rembo
• West Rembo
• Pitogo
• Post Proper Northside
• Post Proper Southside

In addition to these restrictions, under Ordinance No. 35, Series of 2014, the City Government of Taguig has also prohibited the sale of firecrackers and lights to children.
