The driver of a silver Toyota Innova was trapped after his vehicle was side-swiped by the 24-wheeler truck and fell off the side of the road. The lifeless driver was retrieved around 4:30 AM on December 20.
It was found that the said truck, a Sino Truck Howo with the plate number NCX213, was coming from the northbound lane of C5 Road, Taguig when it abruptly crossed the southbound lane. It then collided with a silver and a red SUV, as well as a motorcycle.
The truck driver was alone at the time and denied allegations of drinking or drug use.
The Land Transportation Office (LTO) has suspended the truck driver's license for 90 days. The LTO also issued a show-cause order against the driver and the registered owner of the truck.
