The DMW stated that among the removed posts and accounts on Facebook and TikTok were 71,653 fraudulent job postings, including 50,220 suspicious posts on Facebook and 21,433 on TikTok.

According to DMW Secretary Hans Cacdac, they promptly report each illegal recruitment post they see online and immediately coordinate with Facebook and TikTok for the deactivation of these accounts.

They also urge the public to report to them so they can investigate other suspicious posts and accounts.

These fraudulent accounts, he said, pretend to be legitimate recruitment agencies by duplicating the official pages of agencies licensed by the DMW.

The DMW further referenced the importance of job seekers contacting their office or visiting their website for a list of licensed agencies: https://dmw.gov.ph/licensed-recruitment-agencies

Thanks to the DMW's efforts, potentially thousands of Filipinos have been saved from being deceived and charged for non-existent overseas jobs, or from being exploited and abused by syndicates abroad.
