Despite heavy rain and flooding, the Taguig City Police Station Drug Enforcement Unit continued its operations, apprehending a drug suspect in the early hours of July 24, 2024, in Barangay Santa Ana, Taguig City.

The man, known only as Toto, was arrested after being found in possession of 21.9 grams of methamphetamine hydrochloride, valued at ₱148,920.00.

In a buy-bust operation conducted by the Taguig City Police, around 3:30 in the morning, one of their agents posed as a buyer of shabu and dealt with Toto.

The agent handed P200 to Toto, and as soon as the purchased drugs were handed over, the police arrested him.

The authorities seized two heat-sealed transparent sachets containing suspected shabu and another tied plastic bag also suspected of containing shabu.

The suspect will be charged with violating Section 5 and 11, Article II of the Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002).

The confiscated drugs have been handed over to the Southern Police District (SPD) Forensic Unit.
