Taguig City Mayor Lani Cayetano joined children in singing and dancing to a new handwashing jingle. The jingle was created by the Health Education and Promotion Office in observance of National Deworming Month and Handwashing Day at Maharlika Intergrated School on October 18. In collaboration with the city government of Taguig and the Department of Education, students at Maharlika Integrated School, from Kindergarten to Grade 6, were taught proper handwashing techniques.

Elementary school students were also given deworming tablets.

Mayor Cayetano expressed her gratitude to the students, parents, guardians, and teachers for participating in this event which emphasizes the importance of children's health.

"Your children's health is important to us. We hope that even at home, you will remind your children about the importance of nutrition and proper hygiene. It's good that we are teaching them this from a young age," said the mayor.

The city government also distributed hygiene kits containing alcohol, towels, and hand soap, along with slippers to the students.
