The Secretary of the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG), is calling on the city governments of Taguig and Makati to ensure the smooth flow of services while resolving issues related to their territorial dispute.

DILG Secretary Benjamin Abalos, Jr. stated that he has already spoken with Taguig Mayor Lani Cayetano and Makati Mayor Abigail Binay, and both sides assured him that they will work towards peacefully resolving the issues.

"The main issue here, firstly, is that the services for people should continue uninterrupted. The SC decision should not affect schools or hospitals. All services must remain uninterrupted," said Abalos.

Abalos shared that aside from the matter of the fourteen schools, it is also essential to manage the shift in jurisdiction of the health facilities and other assets located in the EMBO (enlisted men barrios) barangays.
