The training aimed to reduce the impact of disasters on businesses and daily life of the Taguig residents through cooperation.
According to Taguig City Mayor Lani Cayetano, Taguig City is always ready for any disaster or emergency due to the effectiveness of its implemented programs.
"I am really proud of our team. Several times in assessments done by National Government Agencies for Local Government Units in the country and in the National Capital Region, our team always receives good ratings. This is a testament to our commitment to really make sure that we continue to strive to achieve that vision to be a truly Transformative, Lively, and Caring City," said Cayetano.
The training discussed preparations for severe weather-related incidents, the Emergency Operational Framework, activation of Emergency Office Centers, the responsibilities of task groups in emergencies, and the function and usefulness of Taguig Open Weather & Environmental Reporting System (TOWER).
Attendees were also taught how to apply first aid and hands-only basic Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation or CPR.
