A Vietnamese posing as a doctor and four other foreigners were apprehended on May 13, 2024, by Bureau of Immigration (BI) personnel due to their alleged connection to an abortion clinic masquerading as a wellness center in Pasay City.

Also detained at Camp Bagong Diwa are two Chinese individuals, Xie Jun, 36, and Zhai Jian Gang, 43, who were captured at the said clinic on Macapagal Boulevard, Pasay City.
The operation was carried out by the BI, with assistance from the Presidential Anti-Organized Crime Commission (PAOCC) and the Philippine National Police - Pasay City, after they received information that Sang was conducting illegal medical procedures, such as abortions and cosmetic enhancements at the wellness center.
Several operatives posed as clients seeking cosmetic treatment, and Sang was caught in the act of performing the procedure.
Immigration Commissioner Norman Tansingco stated that this situation is alarming, especially considering the illegal abortions and cosmetic procedures being performed which are not authorized by the Department of Health.
