A house located on the boundary of Barangay New Lower Bicutan and Barangay South Signal was engulfed in flames affecting five families on the afternoon of November 2, 2024.

Kenneth Dy Cañeda, Barangay Councilor of South Signal Village, reported that the fire occurred at the end of Airforce Extension, where a two-story house, home to 13 individuals, was consumed by the blaze.

The Taguig City Fire Station stated that the fire started around 5:20 PM on November 2 and was extinguished at approximately 5:50 PM on the second floor of the house on San Diego Street.

The estimated value of the lost properties is around 50,000 Pesos. The affected families are now receiving help from the City Government of Taguig and the Social Welfare Department of Taguig.

"We should always double-check our appliances that are left plugged in and make it a habit to unplug them when not in use, especially cellphones, and avoid overcharging them. Thank you very much to BFP Taguig, BSF South Signal Village and all our neighboring barangays that promptly sent firefighters," Cañeda said in his post on Facebook.
