Klaudia Koronell, a former actress now working as a caregiver in California, USA, personally experienced the terrifying wildfire in the Greater Los Angeles Area.

Koronell evacuated her 75-year-old patient from the fire that spread in Palisades.

"Our house is about to burn. God, it's so fast. I was still relaxed earlier because in my mind, the Palisades fire is far away. Then, suddenly I saw fire behind our house and received an alert to evacuate," Koronell posted on her Facebook account.

In the post, Koronell showed the house she and her patient were staying in and the spreading fire in the backyard. She stated that she went to the house of her patient to start her night shift when they suddenly received an evacuation alert on their phone.

Koronell mentioned that when she entered her patient's house, the elderly woman was just watching television and completely unaware of what was happening, owing to her dementia. Koronell quickly pulled her out and got her in the car, not being able to bring any belongings with them.

The elderly woman was alone in the house, with only caregivers for company. Koronell and the elderly woman are now staying in a hotel, booked by the elderly woman's family.

Meanwhile, the Philippine Consulate General in Los Angeles issued an advisory to the Filipino community in the area to always be prepared and follow orders for evacuation.

The areas in Los Angeles County affected by the fire include Palisades, Eaton, Hurst, Woodley, Riverside County (Tyler Fire), and Ventura County (Olivas Fire).

According to the latest reports, 16 people have died in the fires, and thousands of hectares, houses, and buildings have been burned.
