Dumpit will be interred at the Heroes' Cemetery before the burial of former general and lawmaker Rodolfo Biazon on the same day.
Thelma Dumpit, a broadcaster and daughter of the former general and congressman, said her father passed away due to myocardial infarction on June 11 at the age of 90.
In a statement to the media, Thelma said, "We are overwhelmed with the outpouring of love for Dad and support for us. And while I'm still trying to accept the fact that he is no longer around, I know he will continue to guide us in spirit."
Thelma added that her father was the last general who stayed in Malacañang with the former President Ferdinand Marcos, Sr. She said the lessons he learned from the Philippine Military Academy were inscribed in the book he wrote, "Duty. Integrity. Loyalty. The Heart of a General."
