The imported apples from France are set to arrive in the Philippines in the upcoming weeks, following their introduction in local cuisine as French apples.

During the three-day "Bonjour French Food" event held at Grand Hyatt Manila in Bonifacio Global City, Taguig City from November 12 to 14, 2024, dishes created by chefs featuring French apples were introduced.

Chefs Charles Soussin, Mark Hagan, and Carlo Miguel prepared dishes such as stuffed apple chicken with prawn and apple coulis.

The event concluded with a cocktail reception where the drinks were also mixed with French apples and Calvados, a French apple brandy.

The event was led by the French Chamber of Commerce and Industry in the Philippines (CCIFP) and Interfel in collaboration with the Department of Agriculture and the French Embassy in the Philippines.
