The Embassy of Hungary has conducted a scholarship orientation for their Stipendium Hungaricum this year at Bonifacio Global City, Taguig.
The Stipendium Hungaricum is Hungary's top higher education scholarship program, offering a variety of courses to intelligent international students with outstanding academic track records.

The scholarship supports the internationalization of Hungarian higher education and its continuous development to strengthen global relations in the fields of academia and research. The program was initiated in 2013 and is overseen by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade and managed by the Tempus Public Foundation.
The scholarship orientation at BGC was led by Hungarian Ambassador Titanilla Tóth, who stated that education empowers and strengthens those who attain it.
"It creates knowledge, builds confidence, and breaks down barriers to opportunity. That is why Hungary established the Stipendium Hungaricum scholarship program which helps attract top international students from all around the world who can establish personal and professional links to Hungary and each other while enjoying high-quality education in the heart of Europe," Tóth proclaimed.
Currently, there are 90 sending partners in the program from five continents, attracting more than 5,000 international students each year. Applicants are offered more than 800 full degree programs in English, covering all higher education fields at all degree levels, including part-time and doctoral courses.
The top five fields of study for approved scholars for the years 2024 to 2025 are Engineering Studies, Computer Science and Information Technology, Health Science, Economic Science, and Natural Science.
Philippine alumni of the Stipendium Hungaricum who attended the orientation to share their experiences as students in Hungary included Fritz Dustin M. Fiedalan from the University of Debrecen Batch 2021, Dianne Joy D. Aguilon from the University of Szeged Batch 2021, Diosdado B. Lopega from Corvinus University of Budapest Batch 2019, Amalia G. Obusan from the University of Debrecen Batch 2021, and Venes Banquiles from the University of Miskolc Batch 2021.
