However, the detained Lee Minho held in the BI detention facility at Camp Bagong Diwa, Bicutan, Taguig City, is not the famous South Korean actor, but an ordinary citizen who has committed a crime against an individual in his country.

The Lee Minho who was arrested by the BI fugitive search unit in the Clark Freeport Zone on November 25, 2024, is a 37-year-old who assaulted a man with a baseball bat along with several other suspects five years ago in South Korea.

His victim was hospitalized for several days due to severe injuries sustained from the assault.

A warrant of arrest was issued by the Suwon District Court in February 2024 against Lee for the case of Special Bodily Injury, a violation of the Criminal Act of the Republic of Korea.

He has also been on Interpol's list since October due to the same case.
