The Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) is now monitoring a low-pressure area (LPA) that is situated around 1,435 kilometers east of Southern Luzon.

According to PAGASA, there is a moderate chance that this could develop into a storm in the next 24 to 48 hours.

The LPA might enter the country by Sunday or Monday.

Meanwhile, the Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) continues to bring rain to some parts of Mindanao. Affected areas include the Zamboanga Peninsula, SOCCSKSARGEN, BARMM, Davao Occidental, and Davao del Sur.

Cloudy skies with rain are expected over the Visayas, Palawan, and the remaining parts of Mindanao.

Meanwhile, rain is expected in the Cagayan Valley, Aurora, Quezon, and Bicol Region due to the easterlies. Other parts of the country will also experience rain.
