Manila Water trucks will be deployed this December to various areas in Metro Manila's east zone, providing septic tank cleaning services.
Included in the desludging caravan's itinerary is Barangay San Miguel in Taguig City.
Septic tank cleaning will also take place in the following areas this December: Barangays Ugong Norte, Bagong Lipunan ng Crame, Pinyahan, Bahay Toro, Botocan, White Plains, Amihan, Old Capitol Site, West Triangle, Duyan Duyan, Malaya, Project 6, Teacher's Village East and Teacher's Village West in Quezon City; Barangays Olympia, Valenzuela, Pio Del Pilar, and Singkamas in Makati City; Barangays San Antonio, Oranbo, Kapasigan and Malinao in Pasig City; Barangays Bagong Silang and Mauway in Mandaluyong City; and Barangays 865 and 867 in the City of Manila.
Manila Water stated that other customers who wish to have their septic tanks cleaned can call the hotline 1627.
"Septic tank overflowing can cause contamination of water supply, health hazards and property damage. Having your septic tanks siphoned can help maintain health and safety at home and create a positive experience for our families and guests during holiday celebrations," according to Jeric Sevilla, Manila Water Communication Affairs Group Director.
The desludging caravan will also visit Barangay Cupang, and San Jose and San Roque in Antipolo City in Rizal Province.
