A man was entrapped in a house in Barangay Central Signal, Taguig City as he attempted to sell suspected methamphetamine hydrochloride, also known as shabu, last October 6, around 10:50 in the evening.

Seven sachets containing white crystalline substance believed to be shabu, weighing 20 grams with a street value of ₱136,000, were confiscated from an individual known as 'Batoy'.

Additionally, the ₱200 used as buy-bust money was also recovered.

The arrested suspect, known as Batoy, is currently detained at the Station Custodial Facility of the Taguig City Police Station.

Southern Police District Director Brig. Gen. Roderick Mariano praised the diligence of the Taguig police force in curbing the spread of illegal drugs in the city.

"With the leadership of our dedicated police colleagues, we continue to monitor and focus on our operations to maintain peace and readiness in our district. We declare our determination to continue our efforts to combat illegal drugs and reduce the scourge it brings to our community. We are committed to our duty to provide a safe and peaceful living for all citizens of the Southern Police District," according to Mariano.
