The National Wages and Productivity Commission (NWPC) approved Wage Order No. NCR-DW-05 issued by the Regional Tripartite Wages and Productivity Board (RTWPB) National Capital Region, which entails a P500 increase in the wage of household helpers in Metro Manila.
The NWPC also approved the mandate to increase the wage of household helpers in Region X by P1,000. Following this order from the RTWPB Region X, their monthly wage will now be P6,000.
The RTWPB also approved a P23 increase in the minimum wage for those in the non-agricultural sector and a P35 increase for those in the agricultural sector, which will be implemented in two tranches.
Once this has been implemented, the minimum wage in Northern Mindanao will become P446 and P461 respectively.
