The 26-year-old beauty from Barangay Katuparan, Taguig City, also claimed the title of Miss Photogenic at the 2018 Miss Philippine Islands pageant.

Gunio told Taguig.com that she holds the record as the longest-reigning Miss Taguig, given her tenure was extended due to the pandemic. The subsequent beauty contest was not held until 2024, when Alessandra Leanne Plantado from Barangay Central Signal emerged victorious.

Gunio is in her first year of Medicine proper at Our Lady of Fatima University in Valenzuela City. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Education from Rizal Technological University (RTU).

Gunio was invited to serve as a judge in the preliminary round of the 2024 Binibing Agraryo pageant, conducted by the Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) in Quezon City on October 16, 2024.
