A 36-year-old mother was recently apprehended in her home in Taguig City for allegedly selling nude photos of her 17-year-old daughter, 6-year-old son, and 4-year-old niece to foreign pedophiles.
The home of the suspect was raided by the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) - Human Trafficking Division, executing search and cyber warrants.
Her illicit activities were identified at her residence in Taguig with the help of the US Homeland Security, which alerted the NBI.
At the time of the raid, the mother was showing an online foreigner the nude photos of her daughter and niece while they were bathing.
There was a scuffle between the woman and an NBI agent over her mobile phone before it was finally confiscated. Obscene photos of children were found on the phone.
The woman's sale of the nude photos of the children in Taguig came to light after an American pedophile in possession of child pornography materials from the Philippines was arrested.
The mother of the two children and aunt of another now faces charges under Republic Act 11930 or the Anti-Online Sexual Abuse or Exploitation of Children Act, the Anti-Child Sexual Abuse or Exploitation Materials Act, and RA 9208 or the Anti-Trafficking in Persons Act.
The female suspect is currently held at the NBI Detention Facility in New Bilibid Prisons.
Meanwhile, the child victims are under the care of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD).
