The National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) honored its police officers for their diligent pursuit of fugitives and involvement in drug-related cases in a ceremony held at the NCRPO's Multi-Purpose Hall, Camp Bagong Diwa, Taguig City on November 20, 2024.
In line with the NCRPO's objective "In the New Philippines, the Police's desire is your safety," the ceremony celebrated the police officers' excellent performance in their community duties.
Among those honored for their outstanding pursuit of fugitives were Medalya ng Kagalingan (Medal of Excellence) awardees Police Lt. Jerry Christian De Guzman of Quezon City Police District (QCPD), Police Senior Master Sergeant Joel Olidan of Northern Police District (NPD), Police Senior Sergeant (PSSg) Dominic Lappay of Southern Police District (SPD), Police Senior Sergeant Katherine Joy Jose of Manila Police District (MPD), Police Corporal Alfredo Solis, Jr of Eastern Police District (EPD), and Patrolman Leonardo Turla of Regional Mobile Force Battalion (RMFB).
The police officers who were honored for their excellent performance in the campaign against illegal drugs and awarded the Medalya ng Karangalan (Medal of Honor) were PSSg Marvin Magalim of SPD, PSSg Eric Reyes of MPD, PSSg Najib Dimaporo of QCPD, and Pat. Vincent DC Irece of NPD.
The NCRPO stated, "The awards reflect the NCRPO's steadfast commitment to fostering excellence, discipline, and integrity. By recognizing these outstanding efforts, the NCRPO encourages its members to uphold the highest standards in fulfilling their responsibilities. The honorees stand as shining examples of exemplary service, embodying the values and mission of the NCRPO."
Open communication with citizens also contributed significantly, especially in cases of missing persons and crimes occurring in the Metro Manila area.
